Statue Textured

Well I completed the texture for the statue last night. I also did a specular and normalmap based on the little tiles that make up the surface.

Ingame

Well I spent the last day or so playing around with the Unreal Editor. Its been a while since I even opened it so it took a little bit to get everything setup and working ingame, but I finally got it together.

Really just ingame at this point to check my scale and make sure everything is working correct.

Cristo Redentor, pt7 - Outbuildings

Well, the images for the outbuildings are pretty sparse, I am going to use what I have found as a guide and make up the rest. Here is the first of these buidlings, the top of this has some kind of cafe with tables with umbrellas on them. I will connect this with some kind of walkway and another set of stairs going up to the statue.

Update:

Added some connecting stairs and finished out the building a little more. I need to reign in my scope and get this into game soon to see what I need to adjust before starting to work on the terrain.

Cristo Redentor, pt 5

I have finally started working on the base of this structure. This should help show some scale as well. Wikipedia shows this statue is 32 meters tall (my earlier estimation was 34 so I am glad that things are working out). A small biped is shown to give the scale.

The real structure has rounded supports for the railings. If I want to use this in game, this simply will not work so I am going with a simpler geometry. I will add some kind of texture/normal to make this a little interesting in game.

Update, a little more of this crazy structure completed.
